Fordham University senior forward Bryant Dunston (Queens, N.Y./St. John's Prep) earned this week's PrestoSports/Met Basketball Writers Association Player of the Week award for recording a pair of double-doubles as the Rams dropped a pair of road contests.
The Rams (6-8 overall, 0-2 Atlantic 10) fell to Duquesne 74-62 and #24 Xavier 68-50 as the conference portion of the schedule began.
At Duquesne, the 6'8" senior recorded an astounding 19 points, eleven rebounds and a career-high eight blocks. Against the Musketeers, Dunston recorded another 19 points and eleven rebounds, but blocked only three shots.
He has now recorded double-doubles in his last four contests, and has done so 30 times in his career. He also has recorded 258 career blocks, tying him with Damon Lopez as Fordham's all-time leader.
