Women's Basketball Opens Conference Play Against Saint Louis

Bronx, N.Y. - Atlantic 10 women's basketball play opens this afternoon, as Fordham hosts Saint Louis at 1:00 PM at Rose Hill Gym. Follow all the action by clicking on the Listen, Watch, or GameTracker links.

TODAY'S GAME: Fordham will open its 13th season of Atlantic 10 conference play this afternoon against the Saint Louis Billikens. The Billikens come into game having played 10 of the last 11 games on the road, concluding with today's match-up.

The Rams and Billikens have split the previous two meetings, with both teams defending their home court.

THE OPPONENT: Saint Louis is currently 5-10 on the season, and wrap up a five-game road trip. The Billikens are coached by Shimmy Gray-Miller, who is in her third season at Saint Louis with a 25-47 record to date.

The Billikens are led by guard Theresa Lisch. After missing the first eight games of the season due to injury, Lisch is averaging 18.6 points per game in seven contests, while averaging 4.0 rebounds and shooting .939 from the free throw line. Katie Paganelli (13.3 ppg) and Amanda Kemezys (10.6 ppg) also also averaging in double figures.

FORDHAM IN ATLANTIC 10 OPENERS: In the previous 12 Atlantic 10 conference openers, the Rams are 3-9, with the last win coming in the 2005-06 season against St. Bonaventure.
