Fordham Swimmers Compete in St. Croix Dolphins Annual Ocean Swim

St. Croix, USVI - While training during break in the Virgin Island, members of the Fordham University men's and women's swimming squad competed in the Fourth Annual St. Croix Dolphins One Mile Swim with outstanding results as the Rams took the top three places in both the men's and women's race.

Justin Coombs won the men's race in a time of 21:29 while Ashley Ukleja covered the mile in a time of 22:01. Both times were records for the event.

Finishing behind Ashley Ukleja in the women's race were Anne Conroy, who was second, and sister, Alexandria Ukleja, who finished third.

Following Justin Coombs in the men's race was his brother, Ryan Coombs, who placed second, and Dan Swensen, who took third.

Joining the Ram competitors were swimmers from Holy Cross as well as the St. Croix Dolphins Swim Team from the Virgin Islands.
