Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham University head women's basketball coach Cathy Andruzzi today announced the 2007-08 non-conference schedule. The Rams kick off the month of November with a tough schedule including two NCAA Sweet Sixteen teams, hosting Marist and visiting Florida State. They close the month in Florida at the University of Miami Thanksgiving Tournament and hosting Big East opponent Providence.

"Our non-conference schedule is competitive and it will test us from the onset," said Andruzzi. "With eight new players we will need to be focused and prepared to meet the challenges of our experience opponents. This aggressive schedule will prepare us for conference play."

"We are very excited to host the inaugural Fordham Holiday Tournament. It is a component of our Fordham Hoops Campaign to brand and position Fordham women's basketball." The tournament will be held on December 29-30 at the Rose Hill Gym. The teams in the tournament field are Fairfield, Mt. St. Mary's and Troy.

The schedule includes games from the Atlantic Coast, Big East, Metro Atlantic Athletic, Patriot, Colonial and Northeast Conferences.

This schedule includes the start of a home and away series with Big East schools Providence and Georgetown, and Patriot League member, Lehigh.

Fordham kicks off the season on the road against Manhattan College on Sunday, November 11 at 4pm.
