Bronx, N.Y. - The 73rd annual Block F Awards dinner was held last night at the Villa Barone Manor, honoring Fordham University's student-athletes for their accomplishments in the 2006-07 academic year.
Among those honored was Stacia Kroetz (Hudson, N.Y./Taconic Hills) who was received the Benedict T. Harter Award.
The Benedict T. Harter award is presented to the College of Business Administration senior athlete who has made significant academic and athletic contributions. The award honors Ben Harter, CBA `39, a former dean of both Fordham undergraduate and graduate schools of business, who was an avid follower and supporter of Fordham Athletics dating back to his undergraduate years.
Kroetz, an Accounting major, is a four-year member of the women's rowing team. She has received numerous academic accolades recently, being named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team this week as well as being named a Mid-Atlantic Region National Scholar-Athlete by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association.
On the water, she is a member of the Fordham Varsity 8, helping the Rams take third at the 2007 Atlantic 10 championship, while successfully defending their title at this year's fall and spring Metropolitan championship.
