Bronx, N.Y. - The 73rd annual Block F Awards dinner was held last night at the Villa Barone Manor, honoring Fordham University's student-athletes for their accomplishments in the 2006-07 academic year.
Among those honored was Todd Conway (San Diego, Calif., CA/Torrey Pines) who was named Most Valuable Player of the water polo squad.
Conway, a sophomore, helped the Rams to another improved season, leading the squad in goals (39), points (45), and steals (33). He also garnered First Team All-Conference honors, becoming the first Fordham water polo player to receive that distinction since the early 1990's.
The water polo team finished the year with a 11-11-1 record, marking the first season Fordham has finished at .500 or better since the mid-1980s.
