Bronx, N.Y. - The 73rd annual Block F Awards dinner was held last night at the Villa Barone Manor, honoring Fordham University's student-athletes for their accomplishments in the 2006-07 academic year.

Among those honored was Michael Finocchi (North Attleboro, Mass./Bishop Feehan) who was named Most Valuable Player of the men's golf squad.

Finocchi, a junior, has served as a team captain this season, posting three top 20 finishes. His best performance of the year thus far came at the Mount St. Mary Invitational, where he shot a two-round total of 162, tying for 13th overall and helping the Rams tie for the team title.

At the 2007 Atlantic 10 Championship, Fordham placed 11th, led by Finocchi, who shot a three-round total of 223, tying him for 28th overall.
