FORDHAM??S BRYANT DUNSTON AND MARCUS STOUT EARN 2007 ALL-ATLANTIC 10 HONORS

(March 5, 2007) ?C Fordham University junior forward Bryant Dunston (Queens, NY/St. John??s Prep) and junior guard Marcus Stout (Southfield, MI/Renaissance) were honored today by the Atlantic 10 as Dunston was Named Second Team All-Atlantic 10 while Stout was named Honorable Mention in a voting by the league??s head coaches. Additionally, Dunston was also named Second Team All-District for the second straight year by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Dunston, who was also an All-Atlantic 10 selection in 2006, is averaging 14.5 ppg, second best on the team and 16th best in the Atlantic 10, along with a team-best 7.4 rpg, sixth best in the conference. He has also registered a team-high 66 blocks and is shooting 53.4% (134-251) from the field. Over his three-year career, Dunston has accumulated 1,353 career points, good for ninth on the Fordham all-time scoring list, and 698 career rebounds, good for a tenth-place tie on the school??s all-time rebounding list. Stout finished the regular season averaging a team-high 15.5 ppg, 11th best in the Atlantic 10, while also leading the team in three-pointers made (72) and steals (47). He is ranked among the Atlantic 10 leaders in scoring, three-pointer field goals and steals. Over his three-year career, Stout has scored 1,246 points, leaping over Michael Haynes, Darryl Brown and Tony McIntosh and into 13th on the all-time scoring list. He also is among the all-time leaders in three-pointers made, hitting 184 in his career, good for fourth on the all-time list. The Rams enter the 2007 Atlantic 10 Championships with a 17-11 overall record, after tying for fourth place in the conference with a 10-6 mark. The ten Atlantic 10 wins are the most for a Fordham team since the Rams joined the conference in 1995-96 while the 17 overall wins are the most for Fordham since the 1991-92 squad went 18-13, Fordham??s last winning season prior to this year. Fordham, the fifth seed in the tournament, will open play by facing the University of Richmond, the 12th seed, on Wednesday, March 7th at 2:30 p.m. in Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
