Bronx, N.Y. - Prior to the Fordham-Georgetown women's basketball game on Thursday night, the team will host its Annual Faculty & Staff Reception prior to the game in the Faculty Lounge of McGinley Center. All faculty and staff are invited to attend the event and support the Rams.

"The faculty and staff of Fordham are very important to the success of our program," said head coach Cathy Andruzzi. "When we recruit student-athletes to Fordham, our goal is first for them to receive an education and then for them to play basketball. The faculty and staff already has and will continue to help us attract student-athletes who seek a challenging educational environment and an opportunity to build on the athletic traditions already established at Fordham."

The reception begins at 5:30 PM and includes complimentary tickets to the game, which begins at 7:00 PM against Big East opponent and fellow Jesuit institution, Georgetown University.

At the reception, the team will hand out its inaugural Women's Basketball Faculty & Staff Recognition Award, where the Athletic Academic Advising Staff will be honored for their support of the program.
