The Fordham University men's basketball Rams will continue their 2007-08 season by opening a five-game homestand as they host the Robert Morris University Colonials on Sunday afternoon, December 2nd at 1:00 p.m. in the Rose Hill Gym. The game can be heard live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and on wfuv.org.
The Rams enter the game with a 3-3 overall record and are coming off a 66-57 win at Manhattan College in the 100th meeting between the two schools on Wednesday night. Robert Morris enters the game with a 4-2 overall record and is coming off an 88-61 win at Florida International on Thursday night.
Fordham will be led into the game by senior guard Marcus Stout, who is averaging a team-high 15.8 ppg and he leads the squad with 14 three-pointers and nine steals, while senior forward Bryant Dunston, a Queens native who was a Preseason First Team All-Atlantic 10 selection, is averaging 14.5 ppg and he leads the team with 7.2 rpg.
Sunday afternoon's game will mark the return of Colonial head coach Mike Rice to the Rose Hill Gym. A 1991 Fordham graduate, Rice was a captain for the 1990-91 squad, leading the Rams to a 25-8 record and the 1991 Patriot League title. Fordham lost a play-in game to St. Francis (Pa.) College and was invited to the NIT where the Rams upended South Florida before falling to Massachusetts.
This will be the first meeting between Fordham and Robert Morris.
