Nov. 7, 2007

Philadelphia, Pa. - The Atlantic 10 Conference announced the 2007 Women's Soccer All-Conference teams and award winners this afternoon, with the Rams being well represented among the Atlantic 10's best. Highlighting the awards, three Fordham players, junior Kim Boulos, sophomore Courtney Fedge, and freshman Katie McDermott, were named Second Team All-Conference. McDermott was also named to the All-Rookie Team, while junior Catherine Huvane earned All-Academic honors.

Boulos led the Rams with six goals this season, which all came in Atlantic 10 conference play. She posted two game-winning goals and 12 points, both good for second on the team.

Fedge, an All-Rookie Team selection last season, garners Second Team honors, after helping Fordham post a single season best 0.73 goals against average this season, which includes seven shutouts. Offensively, she posted one goal and three assists for five points.

McDermott, a 5-6 midfielder, stepped into the line-up immediately in her first season, playing in all 18 games, starting 17. She was the top freshman scorer on the Rams with three goals and two assists for eight points, while helping the Rams' defense record seven shutouts.

Huvane, a 5-8 defender, is a Business Administration major and has twice been named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll. On the field, she started all 18 games at sweeper, posting a pair of assists, while helping the Fordham defense rank second in the Atlantic 10 with a 0.73 goals against average

The Rams, seeded second at this week's Atlantic 10 Championship, begin play on Friday, November 9th, as they will meet the highest remaining seed of Thursday's winners at approximately 8:00 PM in Charlotte, N.C.
