Bronx, N.Y. -
Heading into this weekend's Atlantic 10 Championship, the Fordham women's soccer team continued their climb in the Regional Ranking polls, as compiled by SoccerBuzz.com and the NSCAA.
In both polls, the Rams moved up to eighth in the Northeast Regional rankings, which is their highest mark in team history.
Fordham, currently 10-4-4 overall, is the #2 seed at this weekend's Atlantic 10 Championship. The second place finishes ties Fordham's best finish in the Atlantic 10.
Fordham will receive a first round bye to Friday's semifinals, and face the highest remaining seed from Thursday's action at 8:00 PM. On Thursday, third-seeded Duquesne plays sixth-seeded Richmond, while Dayton and Saint Louis will meet in the 4-5 match-up.
Last season, Fordham finished in fifth place in the Atlantic 10 and made it to the Atlantic 10 Championship game for the first time in school history.
