Fordham sophomore Caitlin Napoli (Hauppuage, N.Y./St. Anthony's) and senior Donato Callara (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale) were selected as Atlantic 10 Women's and Men's Swimming & Diving Performers of the Week, respectively, for the week ending November 25th. This is Napoli's sixth weekly award of her career and third this season, while it's the second career Performer award for Callara, and eighth weekly award overall.
In their lone meet of the week against Columbia, Napoli placed first in the three individual events, winning the 100 butterfly (58.61), 200 freestlye (1:52.47), and the 500 freestyle (5:05.08). Her times in the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle were Fordham season-best times, while she also helped the 200 medley relay post their season-best time at 1:48.20, which placed third.
In that same meet, Callara won both diving events against Columbia. He won the one-meter diving with a score of 248.18, while posting a season-best score of 315.30 in the three-meter competition.
The Fordham Swimming & Diving teams will next be in action on December 1-2, as they compete at the Nutmeg Invitational, hosted by Yale University.
