Heading into the final weekend of conference play, the Fordham women's soccer team continued their climb in the Regional Ranking polls, as compiled by SoccerBuzz.com and the NSCAA.
At SoccerBuzz.com, the Rams moved up three spots into ninth in the Northeast Regional rankings, which is their highest mark since the 2003 season.
The Rams are also 11th in the Northeast Regional rankings, as voted upon by the NSCAA,
Fordham, currently 8-4-4 overall, heads into the final weekend of Atlantic 10 competition right in the thick of the playoff race. With a 5-1-2 conferemce mark, the Rams are in fifth place with 18 points, and need to win one game at either Duquesne or St. Bonaventure to clinch their second straight Atlantic 10 playoff berth.
Last season, Fordham finished in fifth place in the Atlantic 10 and made it to the Atlantic 10 Championship game for the first time in school history.
Fordham can still finish as high as second place this season, and receive a first round bye with two wins, and some help.
