FORDHAM??S OMERO ROZEN NAMED TO THE JEWISH SPORTS REVIEW MEN??S SOCCER ALL-AMERICA TEAM

(January 9, 2007) - Fordham University senior forward Omero Rozen (Rome, Italy/Harei Ephraim (Israel)) was named to The Jewish Sports Review Men??s Soccer All-America Team it was announced today. Rozen, who was named Honorable Mention All-Atlantic 10 last fall, was second on the 2006 squad in scoring, netting five goals and adding three assists for 13 points. He tied for eighth in the Atlantic 10 in goals scored and was tied for tenth in goals per game. A transfer to Fordham after two years at Long Island University, Rozen closed out his two-year Fordham career with ten goals and six assists for 26 points. The Rams finished the 2006 season under head coach Jim McElderry with a 9-3-5 overall record, 3-3-3 in the Atlantic 10. The rams were ranked as high as 12th in the nation during the season, opening the year with a 3-2 win over the University of South Florida, who were ranked ninth in the country at the time.
