(April 23, 2006) ?C Fordham??s Dominique Liguori defeated Allysa Detroy in straight sets at first singles (6-0, 6-1) while Ellenoira Featherston defeated Kate Mellion at second singles (6-0, 6-3) to lead the Rams to a 4-0 win over the University of Dayton at the 2006 Atlantic 10 Women??s Tennis Championships at Oxford Athletic Club. With the win, the Rams take ninth place in the tournament while Dayton finishes tenth. The Rams opened play by taking the doubles point, winning two of the three doubles matches. Liguori and Featherston took first doubles for Fordham from Detroy and Mellion (9-8 (4)) while Christina Papa and Lisa Vulin were victorious at third doubles over Dayton??s Carrie Trigilio and Mackenzie Hoops (8-5). Megan Gray and Nicole Dzubay teamed up to take second doubles from Doina Sandor and Danielle Spigner (8-5) for the Bonnies. The Rams then won all three of the completed singles matches for the win. Papa was the other winner for the Rams, taking third singles from Dzubay in straight sets (6-4, 6-4).
