(May 31, 2006) - Fordham Volleyball Coach Pete Volkert announced the Rams?? 2006 schedule this afternoon, which features 13 homes games, four tournaments, and 13 Atlantic 10 Conference games. The Rams open the season with three away tournaments, hosted by Northern Arizona (Aug. 25-26), Canisius (Sept. 2-3), and Seton Hall (Sept. 8-9), before making their home debut on September 12th, when they host Stony Brook. The Rams will then host the sixth annual Rose Hill Classic on September 15-16, which will expand from four to five teams and from six to ten matches. This year, Fordham will host Tulsa, Maine, St. Peter??s, and NJIT at this year??s tournament. After a road match against Connecticut on September 20th, Fordham will participate in their final regular season tournament, hosted by Brown on September 22-23. Following that tournament, the Rams will open Atlantic 10 play, where they play home-and-home games against East Division opponents, Temple, La Salle, Charlotte, and George Washington, and single games against the West (URI, Dayton, Xavier ?C road; Duquesne, Saint Louis - home). In addition to the conference schedule, the Rams will have non-conference match-ups at home against Seton Hall (Oct. 11) and Syracuse (Nov. 10) and on the road at Rutgers (Nov. 1).
