(May 31, 2006) - Fordham Women??s Soccer Coach Ness Selmani announced the Rams?? 2006 schedule this afternoon, which features 18 games, one tournament, and nine Atlantic 10 Conference games. The Rams will have non-conference match-ups against teams from the BIG EAST Conference, the America East Conference, the CAA, the Ivy League, the Patriot League, the NEC, and the MAAC. Fordham will open their season on Sunday, August 27th, as they host Iona College, before having road contests at Army on August 29th and at Seton Hall on September 3rd. The Rams will then play in their lone regular season tournament at St. John??s, where they will play Sacred Heart on September 8th and Columbia on September 10th. After the tournament, Fordham will have three of their final four non-conference games at home as they play Hofstra (Sept. 15), Manhattan (Sept. 22), and Lafayette (Sept. 24) on Jack Coffey Field, while their lone road game in that stretch is at Stony Brook on September 17th. The Rams continue that home stand as they begin Atlantic 10 conference play on September 30th, as they host St. Bonaventure. After their conference opener, Atlantic 10 play will truly test the Rams, as they will have home match-ups with Duquesne, Saint Louis, Charlotte, and Richmond, while having road match-ups with George Washington, La Salle, Temple, and Saint Joseph??s.
