(April 18, 2006) - Fordham freshman Matt DiBuono (New Rochelle, NY/Iona Prep) was named Atlantic 10 Men??s Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week, for the week ending April 16th. This is DiBuono??s first Atlantic 10 outdoor weekly award, after winning it four times during the indoor season. DiBuono, the 2006 Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Year, finished first in the hammer throw with a season-best toss of 157?? 1 1/2??. He also placed second in the shotput with a throw of 44?? 7 1/2??, also a season-best mark. The Fordham Track and Field team will be in action this weekend as they compete at the Metropolitan Championships on April 21st and 22nd.
