JAVARUS DUDLEY ENJOYING SUCCESSFUL SEASON IN ORLANDO

(March 8, 2006) ?C Former Fordham University All-American wide receiver Javarus Dudley is enjoying a successful rookie season for the Orlando Predators in the Arena Football League. Dudley had his best game as a pro last Sunday against the Los Angeles Avengers, leading the Predators with four catches for 52 yards and also tying for the rushing lead with six carries for 29 yards. He scored a touchdown on a one-yard run on the final play of the third quarter, which pushed the Predators lead to 52-27 in a game Orlando would eventually win, 59-34. Dudley was also impressive on defense, recording 1.5 tackles and batting down a pass while playing both ??jack?? linebacker and cornerback. ??Javarus is a high-energy player who is really just lacking experience,?? Predators head coach Jay Gruden said. ??I think he has a real opportunity to become an outstanding player in the Arena Football League.?? In three games played, Dudley has nine receptions for 124 yards. Dudley is a 2004 Fordham graduate, earning All-American honors as a senior in 2003 when he led the NCAA I-AA with 101 receptions, setting a school record in the process. Over his four-year career, Dudley set school records for most receptions (295), receiving yards (4,197) and receiving touchdowns (34) while also setting school career marks in kickoff returns (111) and kickoff return yards (2,663).
