(December 4, 2006) - Fordham freshmen Nicole Marshall (Cornwall, NY/Cornwall) was named Atlantic 10 Women??s Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week it was announced today by the conference office. This is the second straight week in which Marshall has earned A-10 Rookie of the Week honors. The Rams competed at the Nutmeg Invitational at Yale University last weekend where Marshall won the 200-yard individual medley (2:08.29) and finished second in the 400-yard individual medley (4:37.99). She also swam a leg on the winning 400-yard medley (4:00.54) and 800-yard freestyle (7:57.66) relays and added a third-place showing in both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.43) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:26.37) events. On the year, Marshall has set the school 100 breaststroke record with a 1:05.45 clocking on November 20th. The Fordham Swimming & Diving teams will be off for the holiday break and return to action on Saturday, January 20th when they host La Salle University in the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatics Center at 12:00 p.m.
