(November 6, 2006) ?C Fordham women??s basketball coach Cathy Andruzzi and WFUV??s Executive Sports Producer Bob Ahrens announced today that WFUV will air a weekly internet coach??s show on WFUV.org. The inaugural show will be called ??The Cathy Andruzzi Show??, and will be the first women??s basketball coach??s show in New York City history. ??This is a big step forward in advancing our strategic vision in branding our women??s basketball program. The visibility and accessibility of our program is vital to our mission in building a winning program,?? said Andruzzi. ??We appreciate the support and commitment of WFUV and our university.?? The weekly show will air on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 PM. The show will run for 18 weeks, beginning with the preview show on Wednesday, November 8th, and conclude on March 5th at the Atlantic 10 Women??s Basketball Tournament. ??We are pleased to be involved in this groundbreaking endeavor and we wish Cathy success in growing the women??s basketball program,?? said Ahrens. The show will review previous games, preview upcoming games, interview players, and discuss Atlantic 10 women??s hoops as well as the national scene.
