Kealia Ieremia (Sandy, UT/Jordan) was named Atlantic 10 Volleyball Co-Player of the Week for games through November 5th. This is Ieremia's first Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honor this season.
This week, Ieremia helped Fordham extend their current win streak to five games, and kept its postseason hopes alive with wins over Rutgers, Charlotte, and George Washington. She started the week by posting her first 60-assist match of the season with 62 in a win at Rutgers on Wednesday. She then recorded just the second A-10 triple-double of the season and the third of her career with 10 kills, 50 assists and 13 digs in a win over Charlotte. Ieremia finished the week by just missing another triple-double with 10 kills, 44 assists, and eight digs in a win over George Washington.
The Fordham Volleyball team (19-14, 5-7 Atlantic 10) will be in action twice this week, as they host Syracuse at 3:00 PM at the Rose Hill Gym on Friday, November 10th, while playing at Rhode Island in their final conference match on Saturday, November 11th. To make the Atlantic 10 Tournament, Fordham will need a win at Rhode Island, while Temple and Duquesne must lose one of their two matches this coming weekend.
