Nicole Marshall (Cornwall, NY/Cornwall) and
Ryan Coombs (Newburgh, NY/Newburgh Free Academy), as well as senior
Niko Felix (Vallejo, CA/St. Patrick/St. Vincent??s) swept this week??s Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving awards, for the week ending November 27th. Marshall was named women??s performer & rookie of the week, the first awards of her career, while Felix received his second career performer of the week award and Coombs earned his third rookie of the week award this season
Marshall won three events in the Rams?? lone meet of the week at Columbia. She established a new school record in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:05.45, surpassing her own record, set earlier this year. She also took home first place in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:21.88) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:08.69).
Felix was a dual event winner at Columbia, taking first in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke events. He brought home wins in season-best times of 58.71 seconds and 2:10.30, respectively.
Coombs was also a dual event winner, earning first place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle (1:44.13) and the 500 freestyle (4:44.35). He also helped the 200-yard freestyle relay team take first in a season-best time of 1:27.36.
The Fordham Swimming & Diving teams will next be in action on December 2-3, as they will compete at the Yale Invitational in New Haven, CT.
