Ryan Coombs (Newburgh, NY/Newburgh Free Academy) was named Atlantic 10 Men??s Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week, for the week ending November 12th. This is his second Rookie of the Week award this season.
Coombs had another productive meet for Fordham against Stony Brook, where he was one of four dual event winners. He placed first in the 200 freestyle (1:45.32) and the 200 butterfly (2:01.11) at Stony Brook last Wednesday. In addition, he swam a leg of the winning 400 freestyle relay team in 3:18.32.
The Fordham Swimming & Diving teams will be in action on Saturday, November 18th, as they will host a dual swim meet against Rhode Island and Duquesne, beginning at 12:30 PM at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center.
