Tasha Johnston (Hesperia, CA/Hesperia) was named Atlantic 10 Volleyball Player of the Week for games through October 29th. This is Johnston's second Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honor this season.
Johnston has been a consistent offensive threat this season for Fordham, posting 20 double-doubles this season, while becoming only the second Ram to reach 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in her career.
This week, Johnston helped Fordham snap a seven-match losing streak and complete their first ever weekend sweep of Temple and La Salle. She averaged 5.17 kills and 4.17 digs per game while hitting .391 and posting double-doubles in both matches. She had match-highs with 13 kills and 11 digs, as Fordham defeated Temple for the first time in team history, and the followed up with her team best 20th double-double of the season with 18 kills and 14 digs against La Salle. On top of that, she also became the fourth Rams to have over 400 kills in a single season.
