(October 17, 2006) ?C The Fordham Men??s Soccer team held their ground in the Regional Polls for the week ending October 15th. Currently, Fordham is fourth in the Mid-Atlantic Region by the NSCAA, while also being fourth in the BigAppleSoccer.com Top Ten in the Metro region.
Fordham (7-2-4, 1-2-2 A-10) had previous been ranked first in both regional polls, but La Salle win and George Washington tie this past weekend could not offset last week??s losses to Duquesne and Saint Louis.
Fordham was led by senior Omero Rozen this past weekend, as he collected two goals and an assist. Against George Washington on Friday, Rozen scored the game-tying goal with under ten minutes left in regulation to give Fordham a 3-3 tie with the Colonials. On Sunday, he assisted on what was the game-winning goal against La Salle, while later notching a goal of his own. He is currently second on the team in scoring with five goals and three assists for 13 points.
The Fordham Men??s Soccer team will be in action twice this weekend, as they play at Charlotte on Friday, October 20th at 7:30 PM, and at Richmond at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 22nd.
