(January 9, 2006) ?C Fordham University head men??s basketball coach Dereck Whittenburg announced today that junior guard/forward Devon Greene has left the school for personal reasons. Greene, who changed his named from Evertsen to Greene this past summer, transferred to Fordham from Boston College in the summer of 2004. He sat out the 2004-05 season as per NCAA regulations and also sat out the fall semester of 2005 after not meeting all NCAA transfer requirements. Greene averaged 2.2 ppg and 0.7 rpg as a freshman at Boston College in 2003-04 after a stellar high school career at Moon Valley High School in Phoenix, Arizona where he averaged 22.0 ppg and 10.0 rpg as a senior. He finished his high school career as Moon Valley??s all-time leading scorer. The Rams will next be in action tonight as they host the University of Pennsylvania in the Rose Hill Gym at 7:30 p.m.
