(January 30, 2006) - Fordham freshman Matt DiBuono (New Rochelle, NY/Iona Prep) made it four in a row today as he was selected as Atlantic 10 Men??s Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week, for the week ending January 29th. This is DiBuono??s fourth consecutive Atlantic 10 weekly award. DiBuono finished second in the weight throw at the Terrier Classic with a personal-best mark of 60?? 2??, which increased his IC4A Championship qualification entry from last week. The toss was just short of the Fordham record of 60?? 6??, and is the top throw in the Atlantic 10 this season. He also added a mark of 40?? 4 3/4?? in the shot put. The Fordham Track and Field team will be in action this weekend as they compete at the Collegiate Invitational on Friday, February 3rd at the 168th St. Armory. Founded in 1841, Fordham is New York City's Jesuit University. With 22 men's and women's varsity sports teams, the Fordham Rams are members of the NCAA Division I and compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference in baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, indoor and outdoor track, women's rowing, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis and volleyball and in the Patriot League (NCAA I-AA) for football.
