MAAC ANNOUNCES 25TH ANNIVERSARY BASKETBALL TEAMS

(January 30, 2006) ?C The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has announced its 25th Anniversary Basketball teams this month. Fordham has one representative on each team, as Joe Paterno ??89 was named to the men??s 1980s team, while Jeanine ??J.J?? Radice ??89 was named to the women??s 1980??s squad. Paterno, a guard at Fordham from 1985-89, scored 1,776 points, ranking him third on Fordham??s all-time scoring list, while also having 189 career steals, good for fifth all-time. He was a three-time scoring average leader and two-time steals leader for the Rams. A three-time All-MAAC selection and a two-time All-MAAC tournament pick, Paterno was selected as the 1986 MAAC Rookie of the Year, as well as MET Area Rookie of the Year by the MBWA.
