A collection box, staffed by the student-athletes, will be placed at the entrance to each on-campus home event until Sunday, September 18th to allow Fordham fans to contribute to the fund. The Fordham women??s basketball program will spearhead the charge, organizing the teams to coordinate coverage of each home contest. The effort will begin on Friday, September 9th as the women??s basketball program will set up a table at the annual Student Affairs BBQ, which is being held under the Jack Coffey Field grandstand, prior to a trip by the Student Affairs department to the Yankee-Red Sox game on Friday night. The collection is in response to the initiative of Joseph M. McShane, S.J., the president of Fordham University, who has called upon all members of the University family to join him in a hurricane relief effort.
