(March 6, 2005) ?C The Fordham University men??s and women??s indoor track and field squads competed at the 2005 ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships held at Boston University on March 5th and 6th where the Fordham women placed in a tie for 25th of 46 teams while the men??s team finished in a tie for 43rd place out of 53 teams. Leading the way for the women was freshman Kerstin Greene who placed second in the pentathlon with a score of 3668 to earn All-East honors. Also earning All-East accolades was senior Maureen Zivic who placed eighth in the 500 meters in a time of 1:15.49. Candice Drinkwater also competed at the ECAC Championship, placing ninth in the pentathlon with a score of 3,073. In women??s relays, the 4x800 team of Lauren Dike, Stephanie Luther, Danica Dupuy and Kristen Dolan finished eighth in a season-best time of 9:14.64. Scoring for the men was the 4x400 meter relay team of Michael Kirwan, Wyatt Angelo, Michael Kearney and Jerrey Alcoser, who placed sixth in the finals in a time of 3:17.59. In other relay action, the distance medley relay team of Rich Pica, George Peterson, Greg Mason and Patrick McLane took 18th in a season best time of 10:07.52 while the 4x800 meter relay team of Pica, Nicholas Kroll, Greg Collins, and Matt Lowenthal finished 21st in 7:54.71. Also competing for the men were Aaron DeGraffe, who took 11th in the triple jump with a jump of 46?? 7.5??; Daniel Tucker, who placed 19th in the heptathlon with 4,488 points and Matt Spaccarelli who was 22nd in the heptathlon with 4,290 points.
