(May 4, 2005) ?C Fordham University has been selected to serve as the host institution for the 2005 Atlantic 10 Softball Championships it was announced today. The tournament will be held from May 12-14 on Fordham??s Bahoshy Softball Field located on the Rose Hill Campus. The four teams competing for the title have been determined though seeding will not be finalized until Sunday. Fordham, Massachusetts, St. Bonaventure and Saint Joseph??s will battle for the title. Fordham will enter the tournament as the regular season champions while Massachusetts has won the tournament nine of the past ten years, having their streak of nine-straight titles broken last year by Temple. The championship will commence on Thursday, May 12th with two games as the Fordham will take on the fourth seed at 12:00 p.m. and the second and third seeds will match-up at 2:00 p.m. The tournament will continue with three games on Friday, May 13th with the championship game slated for Saturday, May 14th. Single day tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for Atlantic 10 students with ID, Children 18 & under and Senior Citizens. Three-day passes are $10 for adults and $7 for Atlantic 10 students with ID, Children 18 & under and Senior Citizens.
