(May 18, 2005) ?C The Fordham Baseball team closed out the 2005 season with a number ten ranking in the final Top 15 Northeast Coaches Poll, as run by College Baseball Insider.com.
The poll, released on a weekly basis, has the Rams ranked tenth in the Northeast, joining fellow Atlantic 10 schools Rhode Island (t-4th) and George Washington (7th) in the top 15 while Dayton is also receiving votes.
The Rams, who are 33-18 overall, close out the 2005 regular season with a game today Rutgers and another on Friday at Hofstra at 2:00 p.m. before traveling to Dayton, Ohio next week to compete in the Atlantic 10 Championships from May 25th through the 28th. The Rams, who finished the A-10 season with a 17-7 mark, will enter the tournament as the third seed of the six-team tournament.
