MUSHON YA??AKOSI NAMED FIRST TEAM ALL-AMERICA BY THE JEWISH REVIEW

(May 16, 2005) ?C Fordham University senior forward Mushon Ya??akosi (Ra??anana, Israel/Metro-West) was named to the Jewish Sports Review All-American Men??s College Basketball Division I First Team it was announced today. Ya??akosi, a team captain this winter, led the Rams to one of their best seasons in recent history in 2004-05, averaging 7.2 ppg, fourth best on the team, and 6.7 rpg, second best on the squad and eighth best in the Atlantic 10 Conference. He also blocked 21 shots, second most on the team and shot 51.8% from the field (85-164). Over his three year career, Ya??akosi scored 452 points in 76 games (5.9 ppg) while grabbing 435 rebounds (5.7 rpg) and blocking 56 shots. A career 51.0% (182-357) shooter, he appeared in every game over the past two years, starting the last 51, including all 29 in 2004-05. Fordham finished the season with a 13-16 overall record, 8-8 in the Atlantic 10. The eight conference wins is the most by a Fordham team since joining the Atlantic 10 and put the Rams in fourth place. The 13 overall wins are the most for the Rams since the 1999-2000 squad went 14-15.
