FORDHAM BASEBALL RANKED TENTH IN LATEST IN NORTHEAST REGION

(May 10, 2005) ?C The Fordham Baseball team moved up one spot to tenth in the latest Top 15 Northeast Coaches Poll, as run by College Baseball Insider.com. The poll, released on a weekly basis, has the Rams ranked tenth in the Northeast, joining fellow Atlantic 10 schools George Washington (8th) and Rhode Island (9th) in the top 15 while Dayton is also receiving votes. Following this weekend??s Atlantic 10 series games with Rhode Island, the Rams are 30-18 overall, while posting a 14-7 conference record, good for second place in the Atlantic 10 East Division and clinching the Rams?? second straight Atlantic 10 Tournament berth. The Fordham Rams will close out the 2005 Atlantic 10 regular season this weekend as they host Saint Joseph??s University for a three-game Atlantic 10 series beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday at noon followed by a single game on Sunday at noon which will be Fordham Senior Day. All games will be played at KeySpan Park in Brooklyn. The next poll release will come out on Tuesday, May 17th.
