(April 25, 2005) - Fordham University freshman Tom Davis (Madison, CT/Daniel Hand) earned Atlantic 10 Baseball Co-Rookie of the Week honors for the week ending April 24th. This is his second such honor this season, as he also garnered Rookie of the Week honors on April 4th. He shares this week's honor with Frank Nunan from Temple. In his lone start of the week, Davis threw a complete game four-hitter against Massachusetts, allowing just one run and striking out seven in the win. Fordham ended up winning the series against the Minutemen, and have now won four straight Atlantic 10 series. On the year, Davis is 3-3 with two saves to go with a 3.78 earned run average and 36 strikeouts in 52.1 innings. The Fordham Baseball team, ranked 13th in the Northeast Region, is currently 25-15 overall, 10-5 in the Atlantic 10, good for second place in the East Division. The Rams will next be in action on Tuesday, April 26th as they play at Iona College, beginning at 3:30 PM.
