(December 7, 2005) ?C Fordham Baseball Coach Nick Restaino and Fordham Softball Coach Bridget Orchard have both been selected as guest speakers for the 2006 Big Apple Baseball and Softball Coaches Convention, held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in White Plains, NY from January 26-28. The event is being hosted by Frozen Ropes, a baseball and softball instructional outfit that has instructional facilities nationwide, including one in White Plains. Restaino and Orchard, who both received their respective Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year award in 2005, join an all-star cast of guest speakers over the three-day convention. New York Yankees?? hitting coach Don Mattingly, New York Mets?? hitting coach Howard Johnson, New York Mets?? pitching coach Rick Peterson, former UCLA pitcher Kaci Clark, Mississippi State softball coach Jay Miller, Maryland baseball coach Terry Rupp, and former major leaguers Mike Bordick and Jody Reed are just a few of the speakers highlighting the convention.
