(November 7, 2005) ?C Fordham University senior running back James Prydatko (Mt. Sinai, NY/Mt. Sinai) was named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week for games of November 5th it was announced today.  This is the second Player of the Week honor for Prydatko, who also won the award following the Columbia game on September 17th.
Last Saturday, the Rams won their second straight, defeating the Bucknell Bison, 28-21, on Jack Coffey Field.
In the game, Prydatko rushed for a career-high 201 yards on 16 carries, scoring on a 74-yard romp early in the fourth quarter to give the Rams a 28-14 lead.  The senior carried just three times for eight yards in the first half but rebounded with 13 carries for 193 yards in the second half. He also caught one pass for 12 yards.
Fordham gained 344 rushing yards in the Bucknell game, the most for a Fordham team since the Rams moved to the NCAA I-AA in 1989.  The previous high was 314 yards against Holy Cross in 2001.
Prydatko becomes the first Ram to rush for over 200 yards since Kirwin Watson gained 200 against Georgetown on November 1, 2003.  The 201 yards of rushing is the seventh best day in school history and gives Prydatko 948 rushing yards on the year.
On the year, Prydatko has rushed 199 times for 948 yards and five touchdowns.  His average of 105.3 yards/game leads the Patriot League and he is looking to become the second Fordham player to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season on the NCAA I-AA level.  He also has ten receptions for 94 yards and has returned eight kickoffs for 150 yards.
The Rams (2-7, 2-3 Patriot League) will next host the 13th-ranked Lehigh University Mountain Hawks on Jack Coffey Field this Saturday, November 12th in a Patriot League tilt at 1:00 p.m.
