MEN'S SOCCER NOW FIFTH IN THE NSCAA REGIONAL RANKINGS

(October 5, 2005) ?C The Fordham Men??s Soccer team once again moved their way upward in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas Regional Rankings, it was announced on October 4th. After their fifth straight win and third consecutive shutout, Fordham moved up two more spots to #5 in the regional rankings, behind only St. John??s, Buffalo, Binghamton, and Hartwick. The Rams are unbeaten in their last seven contests (5-0-2), and are currently on a five-game win streak, the longest for the program since 1988. Fordham, now at 6-1-2, is fresh off a 2-0 win over Manhattan, where Mike Forenza had both goals, while Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week, Justin Burse recorded his third consecutive shutout. The Fordham Men??s Soccer team will now open Atlantic 10 play this weekend as they host the University of Richmond on Friday, October 7th, beginning at 7:00 PM on Jack Coffey Field, and the Charlotte 49ers on Sunday, October 9th, beginning at 1:00 PM. In addition to this week??s games, the Fordham Men??s Soccer team will be featured on this week??s Metro Soccer Report on the MSG network. This week??s show was taped at Fordham University, and will be broadcast on Friday, October 7th, at 2:30 PM, and re-aired at 11:30 PM.
