MEN'S SOCCER HOLDS FIFTH SPOT IN THE NSCAA REGIONAL RANKINGS

(October 11, 2005) ?C The Fordham Men??s Soccer team held their position in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas Regional Rankings, it was announced on October 11th. After their a win and a tie this past weekend, Fordham stayed in the #5 spot in the regional rankings, behind only St. John??s, Buffalo, Hartwick, and Binghamton. The Rams are unbeaten in their last nine contests (6-0-3), and have won six of their last seven games. Fordham, now at 7-1-3 overall, 1-0-1 in the Atlantic 10, is fresh off a 1-1 tie against Richmond on Friday and a double-overtime shutout win over Charlotte on a penalty kick goal by Kevin Meyer. On top of the Regional Rankings, Fordham is currently tied for 10th in the country in winning percentage at .778, while sophomore goalkeeper Justin Burse in 16th in the nation in goals against average (0.60). The Fordham Men??s Soccer team will continue Atlantic 10 play this weekend, as they host the St. Bonaventure Bonnies on Saturday, October 15th, at 1:00 PM on Jack Coffey Field.
