FORDHAM'S STEPHANIE FROST NAMED ATLANTIC 10 CO-ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

(September 7, 2004) - Fordham University's freshman Stephanie Frost (Columbus, IN/Columbus North) was named Atlantic 10 Volleyball Co-Rookie of the Week for the week ending September 5th. This is Frost's first career Atlantic 10 honor, and she shares it with Duquesne's Kristin Garnett. Frost anchored the Rams' defense at the Sacred Heart Invitational, helping Fordham to a 3-0 record at the tournament. She registered 32 digs in the Rams' four-game win over Long Island University, which were the most by a Ram in a four-game match. She broke the record of 25 in a four-game match set by Kristyn Daly in a match against La Salle in 2002. She ended the week averaging 4.79 digs per game and added two ser vices aces. Frost began the week posting 19 digs against St. John's. Founded in 1841, Fordham is New York City's Jesuit University. With 22 men's and women's varsity sports teams, the Fordham Rams are members of the NCAA Division I and compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference in baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, indoor and outdoor track, women's rowing, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis and volleyball and in the Patriot League (NCAA I-AA) for football.
