(September 10, 2004) - The Fordham University Women's Basketball Team announced its 2004-05 schedule today, which has the Rams playing eight post-season teams from a year ago, with a possibilty of playing two others. Fordham has match-ups against NCAA teams Boston College, North Carolina State, George Washington, Virginia Tech, and defending Atlantic 10 champion, Temple. The Rams also have Xavier, Saint Joseph's and Richmond on the schedule, all of whom had post-season berths in the WNIT. The team could also meet WNIT participants Florida State and Charlotte, as the Rams will also be participating in the San Juan Shootout in San Juan, Puerto Rico, along with Toledo, Towson, Northwestern, Northern Iowa, and the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez. The Rams will also have their 16-game Atlantic 10 schedule, as well as match-ups with Manhattan, Dartmouth, Providence, Hofstra, St. John's, Florida International, and Pittsburgh. Head Coach Jim Lewis leads the Rams, as enters his fifth year as the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Fordham University. On the court, senior Monica Mack, the 2003-04 Atlantic 10 Most Improved Player, is the floor leader, after setting a career-high last season, averaging over 13 points a game.
