STEPHANIE IRVIN BREAKS SCHOOL RECORD IN OUTDOOR 400 METERS

(May 10, 2004) - In a solo performance on Monday evening, Stephanie Irvin broke the Fordham Outdoor 400 meter record at the Tuppeny Twilight Classic held at Villanova University. Irvin ran 56.10 seconds in the 400 meter, breaking her own school record over half a second. The previous record by Irvin was 56.60 seconds, set in 2002. As a whole, the Fordham Track and Field teams will next be in action on May 16-17 as they participate at the ECAC/IC4A Championships, held at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
