(April 28, 2004) - Fordham University sophomore Christina Papa (Teaneck, NJ/Academy of Holy Angels) was named to the Atlantic 10 Women??s Tennis All-Conference Team it was announced today. She is joined by Xavier??s Lauren Clary and Stephanie Bauer, Richmond??s Lindsay Cox, Beatrice Grasu, and Meghan Wolfgram, George Washington??s Lindy First and Nazli Gencsoy, Temple??s Ana Maslesa and Danira Penic, Dayton??s Erin Kirkland, and Massachusetts?? Dorothy Iwanowicz.
Papa went 13-6 overall at the #1 singles slot for the 2003-04 season, including a 7-3 record in the spring. She helped Fordham to a 9-9 overall record and an eighth place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championships this year.
In early April, she was named the Atlantic 10??s Performer of the Week after going a perfect 3-0 in first singles action on the week, not losing a set. In doubles action, Papa teamed up with Lisa Vulin to win two doubles matches during the week at second doubles.

With 22 men's and women's varsity sports teams, the Fordham Rams are members of the NCAA Division I and compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference in baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, indoor and outdoor track, women's rowing, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis and volleyball and in the Patriot League (NCAA I-AA) for football.
