(April 12, 2004) - Fordham senior golfer Gabe Allen (Dickinson, ND/Dickinson) was named Atlantic 10 Golf Performer of the Week after two solid performances over the past week. This is Allen's first career Atlantic 10 honor.
Allen helped Fordham to a pair of third place finishes this past week at the Hofstra Invitational (April 6-7) and the Leopard Invitational (Apr. 9-10). At the Hofstra Invitational, he tied for 15th with a two-round score of 159 (77-82), and then posted a two-round score of 146 (72-74) to tie for third at the Leopard Invitational, finishing four off the pace. His score of 72 in the first round of the Leopard Invitational tied for his low round of the year.
On the year, Allen has played all 22 rounds for the Rams this year, leading the team with an average score of 77.0.
