FORDHAM UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES 2004 FOOTBALL SIGNINGS

(Feb. 18, 2004) ?? Fordham University Head Football Coach, Dave Clawson announced the signing of 25 football players to letters of intent with Fordham for the 2004 season. Clawson led the Rams to a 9-3 overall record last year, Fordham??s third straight winning season, 4-3 in the Patriot League. Over the past three years, the Rams have compiled a 26-10 record for a .722 winning percentage, 14th best on the I-AA level, while the 26 wins over the past three seasons is tied for eleventh best on the I-AA level. On the year, 12 Rams were named All-Patriot League players, including senior record-setting wide receiver Javarus Dudley, who was named a consensus First Team All-American, along with senior record-setting running back Kirwin Watson, who was named Second Team All-America by the Associated Press. Additionally, freshman placekicker Micah Clukey was named the Patriot League Freshman of the Year.. The Rams will open their 105th season of varsity football on Saturday, September 4th when they host the University of Rhode Island on Jack Coffey Field at 1:00 p.m. Fordham is entering its 15th season as a member of the NCAA Division I-AA Patriot League.
