(December 6, 2004) - Sophomore Reshard Hicks (Tampa, FL/Robinson) was selected as Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field Co-Performer of the Week, for the week ending December 5th. This is his first Atlantic 10 Performer Award, but fourth overall weekly award, as he was a three-time Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week selection last season Hicks, the defending Atlantic 10 champion in the high jump, got his 2004-05 season started at the Fordham Invitational on Friday. He won the high jump event, clearing 6?? 8??, and registered the fastest time in the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash at 7.04 seconds. He also placed second in the long jump, putting down a mark of 21?? 9??. As a team, the Fordham men??s indoor track & field team placed first out of five teams at the Fordham Invitational. The team will next be in action on Friday, December 10th, as the team hosts the Christmas Classic at 3:00 PM in the Vincent T. Lombardi Center Fieldhouse. Founded in 1841, Fordham is New York City's Jesuit University. With 22 men's and women's varsity sports teams, the Fordham Rams are members of the NCAA Division I and compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference in baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, indoor and outdoor track, women's rowing, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis and volleyball and in the Patriot League (NCAA I-AA) for football.
