(November 8, 2004) - Fordham University freshman Donnie Callara (Scarsdale, NY/Scarsdale) earned Atlantic 10 weekly honors as he was named Men??s Swimming and Diving Co-Rookie of the Week, for the week ending November 7th. This is the second straight week Callara has picked up the award. He shares the honor with Tommy Nowakowski of St. Bonaventure.
Callara, who has won seven of eight diving competitions through the first four meets of the season, was a big factor in the Rams??s victory over Boston College on Friday, November 5th. He was one of only two Rams to win muliple events at the meet, taking the one-meter diving competition with a score of 282.00, and the three-meter event with a score of 302.18.
The Fordham Swimming & Diving team will next be in action on Wednesday, November 10th as they travel to Stony Brook, NY to meet the Stony Brook Seawolves at 5:00 PM.
