(November 4, 2004) - Fordham University sophomore Leah Jerome (Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock) was selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District I Second Team, it was announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Jerome, who holds the highest GPA of any student-athlete at Fordham with a 4.0, is one of three Atlantic 10 players to earn All-District I honors this season, as Rhode Island's Melanie and Megan Kasperak were both named to the First Team.
Jerome just completed her sophomore campaign at Fordham, starting all 17 contests and tying for second on the team in scoring with four goals and two assists for 10 points, which includes two game-winning goals against Duquesne and St. Bonaventure.
For her career, she has six goals and five assists, and has appeared in every game for Fordham over the past two seasons (37), making 30 starts.
